Resounding Victory for CFR Cluj Over FCSB in Bucharest
In a vibrant match held at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest, CFR 1907 Cluj convincingly defeated FCSB with a final score of four to one. Despite FCSB’s superior ball possession, reaching 62%, CFR Cluj’s effectiveness in attack proved decisive.
The match began with an early goal from FCSB in the second minute, scored by D. Miculescu, which seemed to foreshadow local dominance. However, CFR Cluj reacted strongly, equalizing the match in the 41st minute thanks to a goal by A. Aliev, assisted by A. Paun. The comeback was completed just before halftime with a goal from M. Korenica, assisted by M. Ilie, giving Cluj the lead.
In the second half, CFR Cluj continued to demonstrate their superiority. In the 49th minute, A. Cordea, assisted again by A. Paun, extended the lead. The final blow came in added time, when L. Biliboc sealed the match with the fourth goal for CFR Cluj.
The match was not without tension, reflected in the yellow cards shown, one for FCSB and three for CFR Cluj. Despite generating a larger number of shots, FCSB failed to capitalize on their possession and were outmatched by CFR Cluj’s strength.
