FC Zurich edged past Lausanne Sport with a 3-2 victory in a thrilling match played at the Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich. Despite dominating possession (71%), Zurich struggled to overcome a resilient Lausanne. Lausanne took the lead in the 5th minute through a goal from J. Roche. Ajdini equalized for Lausanne in the 77th minute before Zurich’s late surge with goals from S. Zuber and L. Kamberi in the 90th and 90+1st minutes respectively secured the win. Zurich outshot Lausanne 17 to 13 and enjoyed significantly more possession, while Lausanne proved more clinical in front of goal (4 shots on target to Zurich’s 5). FC Zurich received two yellow cards, while Lausanne received none. A captivating match that remained tense until the final whistle.
