FC Basel crushes FC Winterthur in a dominant performance
FC Basel 1893 showed its superiority over FC Winterthur in a match that ended with a resounding 6-1 victory. The visiting team’s victory was built on a brilliant first half, where they scored four goals and controlled the pace of the game.

The duo connected again in the 25th minute, this time with Boubacar Traoré as the scorer. Shaqiri completed his great performance in the 33rd minute, scoring Basel’s third goal.
In the second half, FC Basel continued its dominance and managed to extend the difference through a goal from R. Baro (48th minute), again with an assist from Shaqiri. Despite an own goal by Samuel Kapino in the 57th minute, Basel was not satisfied and Marino Soticek scored the sixth goal of the match in the 72nd minute.
FC Winterthur failed to find answers to Basel’s offensive and could only score one goal.
