Kashima Edges Out FC Tokyo in Tight Contest at Ajinomoto Stadium
Chōfu, Japan – In a tightly contested match at Ajinomoto Stadium, Kashima emerged victorious against FC Tokyo in the 25th round of the J1 League. FC Tokyo dominated possession with 55%, but Kashima secured the win with a lone goal from K. Tagawa in the 81st minute, assisted by Y. Suzuki.
Despite controlling possession and creating 16 shots (3 on target), FC Tokyo failed to capitalize on their chances. Kashima, with 45% possession, converted one of their 11 shot opportunities (5 on target) to secure the three points.
