Lokomotiv Defeats FC Sochi in Thrilling Match
Sochi, Russia – In an exciting match held at the Fisht Olympic Stadium, Lokomotiv secured a convincing victory over FC Sochi with a final score of 4 to 3. The match, corresponding to matchday 18 of the Russian Premier League, 2025 season, was full of twists and turns and goals from the beginning.
Lokomotiv opened the scoring early, in the 7th minute, with a goal by A. Batrakov assisted by N. Komlichenko. However, FC Sochi responded in the 25th minute with a goal by M. Kramaric, after an assist from I. Saavedra. The home team’s joy was short-lived, as A. Rudenko put Lokomotiv ahead again in the 29th minute, this time without an assist. Rudenko repeated as scorer in the 34th minute, with an assist from Batrakov, extending Lokomotiv’s lead.
In the second half, Lokomotiv continued to press, and D. Vorobyev scored a penalty in the 68th minute. It seemed the game was settled, but FC Sochi did not give up, and F. Kamano scored in the 88th minute, although it was not enough to avoid defeat.
The match was officiated by Evgeniy Kukulyak. Regarding statistics, both teams maintained balanced ball possession (50% for each). Lokomotiv was more incisive in attack, with 16 shots (10 on target and 5 off target) and 1 corner, compared to FC Sochi’s 9 shots (4 on target and 3 off target) and 6 corners.
