FC Rostov thrashes Khimki in an exciting match
FC Rostov defeated Khimki with a convincing 3-1 victory in a thrilling match at the Rostov Arena.
The game started with an early goal from Ivan Komarov for Rostov in the 6th minute, but Khimki tried to fight back during the second half. However, Rostov extended their lead with a penalty scored by Maxim Osipenko in the 66th minute.
Komarov scored again in the 75th minute, this time with an assist from Osipenko, virtually sealing the win for Rostov. Khimki managed to pull one back through a penalty from Roman Mirzov in the 87th minute, but it was too late to prevent the defeat.
Rostov dominated possession with 50%, making 11 shots, 5 of them on target. Khimki also had 50% possession but made 12 shots, 5 on target.
The match was played at the Rostov Arena, in Rostov-na-Donu, and was refereed by Roman Safyan, from Russia.
