FC Porto secured a convincing 2-0 victory over FC Midtjylland in a match played at the Estádio Do Dragão, Porto, on December 12th, 2024, for the sixth matchday of the UEFA Europa League group stage. Danny Namaso opened the scoring in the 30th minute, assisted by Stephen Eustáquio. Samu then extended the lead for the home side in the 56th minute. Despite Midtjylland’s attempts, a goal disallowed for offside in the 90th minute prevented them from reducing the deficit. Porto dominated possession (62% vs 38%) and shots on target (7 vs 1). Namaso received a yellow card in the 55th minute, while M. Bech Sorensen of Midtjylland received a yellow card at the end of the match. The referee for the encounter was Aleksandar Stavrev from North Macedonia.
