FC Lugano defeats FC Luzern in a thrilling encounter
FC Lugano secured a victory in a thrilling match against FC Luzern at the swissporarena in Lucerne on December 7th, 2024. The game, part of the 17th round of the Swiss Super League, ended with a 3-1 scoreline in favor of the visiting team.
The match was characterized by intensity and goal-scoring opportunities for both sides. Lugano took the lead with a penalty converted by A. Grgic in the 35th minute and extended their advantage shortly after with a goal from M. Belhadj (38th minute). Despite a disallowed goal for offside and another for handball, Lugano maintained control of the game. FC Luzern managed to pull one back with a goal from D. Rrudhani in the 76th minute, but M. Bottani’s goal in the 90th minute sealed the victory for Lugano.
