SKU Amstetten Edges Out FC Liefering in Thrilling Encounter
SKU Amstetten secured a 3-2 victory over FC Liefering in a captivating match at the Red Bull Arena in Wals-Siezenheim on November 30th, 2024. The game, part of the 15th round of the Austrian 2. Liga, saw Amstetten overcome a possession deficit (38% to 62%) with clinical finishing.
Oberleitner opened the scoring for Amstetten in the 12th minute, assisted by Gruber. Diakite equalized for Liefering in the 51st minute, assisted by Verhounig. Grubhofer restored Amstetten’s lead in the 59th minute with an assist from Kochl. Wanner sealed the victory with a goal in the 70th minute, assisted by Weixelbraun. Despite a late goal from Liefering’s Diakite, Amstetten held on for the win.
