Lokomotiv Secures Victory in Krasnodar in an Intense Match
Krasnodar, Russia – Lokomotiv secured a victory on their visit to the Ozon Arena against FC Krasnodar, in a hard-fought match filled with cards on the second matchday of the Premier League. Despite dominating possession with 66%, Krasnodar failed to capitalize on their superior gameplay.
The first half was characterized by physical play, with yellow cards for Diego Costa of Krasnodar and D. Vorobyev of Lokomotiv. A. Batrakov put Lokomotiv ahead in the 34th minute with a penalty.
In the second half, Lokomotiv extended their lead thanks to a goal by A. Batrakov in the 80th minute, assisted by A. Rudenko. Just when it seemed the game was sealed, M. D. Cobnan scored for Krasnodar in the 90th minute, assisted by E. Spertsyan, but it wasn’t enough to change the result. The match also saw yellow cards for G. Furtado and A. Batrakov, as well as for A.
