Universitatea Cluj Stuns FC Botosani on the Road
Botoşani, Romania – In a match held at the Stadionul Municipal, Universitatea Cluj defeated FC Botosani with a score of 3 to 1. The game, valid for matchday 28 of Liga I, 2025 season, saw an effective Cluj taking advantage of their opportunities despite having only 31% of ball possession.
J. Lukic was the star of the first half, scoring two early goals in the 4th and 15th minutes, assisted by A. Coubis and I. Macalou respectively. FC Botosani reacted with a goal by H. Ongenda in the 19th minute, assisted by Z. Mitrov, but it wasn’t enough to contain Cluj’s attack.
In the second half, M. Drammeh extended the lead for Universitatea Cluj in the 55th minute, again assisted by I. Macalou.
