FC Botoșani Pulls Off Upset Victory Over FCSB in Thrilling Match.
FC Botoșani secured a surprising victory over FCSB in a captivating match held at the Stadionul Municipal in Botoşani. Despite FCSB dominating possession with 59% compared to FC Botoșani’s 41%, the home team proved more clinical in front of goal.
FCSB took the lead in the 36th minute with a goal by D. Birligea, assisted by M. Thiam. However, the lead was short-lived as A. Dumiter equalized for FC Botoșani in the 40th minute, thanks to an assist from Z. Mitrov.
In the second half, M. Kovtalyuk put FC Botoșani ahead in the 68th minute, assisted by S. Mailat. Kovtalyuk then sealed the victory in the 90th minute, following an assist from H. Ongenda.
The match was punctuated by numerous yellow cards, with four shown to each team. FC Botoșani registered 18 shots, 7 of which were on target, while FCSB attempted 11 shots, with 6 hitting the target.
