Cusco Stuns Melgar in Arequipa with Convincing Victory
Arequipa, Peru – In a match held at the Estadio de la Universidad Nacional San Agustín, Cusco surprised FBC Melgar with a 2 to 0 victory. The match, valid for the second round of the Clausura of the Peruvian Primera División, was marked by the effectiveness of the visiting team and tactical discipline.
Cusco, with greater ball possession (54%), knew how to take advantage of their goal opportunities. The first goal came in the 31st minute thanks to A. Fuentes, who finished with precision after an elaborate play. The first half ended with three yellow cards for FBC Melgar players (W. Tandazo, H. Orzan and B.
