Eyüpspor Thrashes Samsunspor in Thrilling Istanbul Match
Eyüpspor secured a resounding 3-0 victory over Samsunspor in a match played at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu in Istanbul, as part of the Turkish Süper Lig’s 15th round. The match, officiated by Atilla Karaoglan, saw Eyüpspor dominate possession (58%) and create more scoring opportunities (14 shots, 5 on target).
The goals came in the second half. M. Thiam opened the scoring in the 54th minute, assisted by R. Yalcin. H. Akbunar extended the lead in the 64th minute, with an assist from T. Bingol, and Thiam completed his brace in the 69th minute, thanks to a pass from C. Erkin.
Despite Samsunspor’s efforts, their low possession (42%) and lack of accuracy in front of goal (2 shots on target) prevented them from troubling the home side’s defense. The match also featured yellow cards for both teams: E. Akbaba and R. Yalcin for Eyüpspor, and Y. Ait Bennasser and E. Kilinc for Samsunspor. The victory puts Eyüpspor in a strong position in the league table.
