Everton Women Rout Crystal Palace Women in Dominant Display
Liverpool, March 22, 2025 – Everton Women secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace Women in a FA WSL matchday 17 clash at Walton Hall Park, Liverpool. Referee A. Soneye oversaw the game, which saw Everton dominate possession with 55% of the ball.
J. Vanhaevermaet opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, assisted by S. Holmgaard. Everton extended their lead early in the second half, with S. Holmgaard netting in the 46th minute, assisted by K. Gago. K. Gago added a third in the 90th minute, again assisted by S. Holmgaard, sealing a comfortable 3-0 win.
Despite the loss, Crystal Palace managed 9 shots, only 2 on target, compared to Everton’s 11 shots, 5 of which were on target. Everton also had a slight edge in corners (5 to 6). The match was played without any yellow or red cards. The victory solidifies Everton’s position in the FA WSL table.
