Dramatic Draw in FA Cup: Sunderland and Everton Decide on Penalties After a Thrilling Match
Liverpool, England – In an electrifying match held at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Sunderland and Everton drew in a game corresponding to the Round of 64 of the FA Cup, which extended into extra time and was decided in a dramatic penalty shootout. The match, officiated by John Brooks, was marked by intensity and constant struggle in the midfield.
Sunderland dominated possession with 55%, showing greater offensive ambition with 18 total shots, of which 6 were on target. Everton, on the other hand, fell back and bet on counterattacks, generating 14 shots, although with less precision (3 on target).
