Everton de Viña del Mar and Unión La Calera played an exciting match at the Estadio Sausalito in Viña del Mar this Saturday, April 20th, at 4:30 PM, corresponding to the eighth round of the 2025 Chilean Primera División. The match, refereed by Mathias Riquelme, ended in a close 1-1 draw.
Everton took the lead early with a penalty converted by I. Ramírez in the 7th minute. However, Everton’s joy was short-lived. I. Ramirez had a goal disallowed for offside in the 27th minute. Unión La Calera responded with a goal from I.S. Mesías González in the 45th minute, assisted by C. Díaz. Unión La Calera also had a goal disallowed for offside in the 51st minute.
The game was marked by tension, with numerous yellow cards for Everton (four) and one for Unión La Calera. Everton had more shots (11 to 7), but Unión La Calera dominated possession (55% to 45%). Despite La Calera’s dominance, both teams managed to score, leaving the final score tied.
