Estrela Amadora pulled off a stunning upset against FC Porto in a thrilling match at Estádio José Gomes in Amadora. Despite having less possession (32% compared to Porto’s 68%), Estrela secured a 2-0 victory. Kikas opened the scoring in the 38th minute, assisted by L. Bucca, and A. Ruiz added a penalty goal in the 62nd minute. The match was a tense affair, with a total of nine yellow cards shown: four to Estrela (I. Drame, A. Ruiz, Jovane, G. Montoia, Amine) and three to FC Porto (F. Vieira, A. Varela, Claudio Ramos). Despite dominating possession and corners (11 for Porto versus 5 for Estrela), FC Porto couldn’t break down Estrela’s resolute defense. Estrela committed 16 fouls compared to Porto’s 14.
