FC Porto defeated Estoril Praia 2-1 in a match played at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota in Estoril. The game, corresponding to matchday 27 of the Primeira Liga, was marked by initial equality and clear Porto dominance in the second half.
Youssef Begraoui put Estoril ahead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute, following a foul in the area. However, Porto reacted quickly. Samu equalized the score, also from a penalty, in the added time of the first half. The second half was clearly dominated by the visitors. R. Mora scored the winning goal for FC Porto in the 65th minute, thanks to a good assist from F. Moura.
The match was intense, with numerous fouls on both sides (18 for Estoril and 13 for Porto). Estoril received four yellow cards, while FC Porto received only one. Despite Porto’s greater possession (60%), Estoril had greater accuracy in their shots on goal (2 out of 3, compared to 6 out of 14 for Porto).
