Erokspor defeats Kocaelispor in a thrilling Istanbul match
Erokspor triumphed over Kocaelispor with a 3-1 victory at the Esenler Erokspor Stadyumu in Istanbul. The match, part of the 35th round of the Turkish 1. Lig, was officiated by Cihan Aydin and featured a high-octane clash.
Erokspor took an early lead through O. Kayode’s goal in the 13th minute, assisted by F. Orak. Kocaelispor equalized with a penalty converted by O. Caglayan in the 40th minute. However, Erokspor showed greater attacking prowess in the second half. Oscar Pinchi scored the second goal in the 76th minute, again assisted by F. Orak, and J. Fernandes sealed the victory with a goal in the 87th minute.
While Kocaelispor had more shots on target (10 compared to 6), Erokspor controlled possession (52%) and proved more clinical in front of goal. The match saw several yellow cards, with three shown to Erokspor and one to Kocaelispor.
