Emelec Dominates El Nacional in Guayaquil with a Decisive Victory
Guayaquil, Ecuador – In a match held at the Estadio George Capwell Banco del Austro, Emelec overpowered El Nacional with clear superiority. The match, corresponding to matchday 29 of the 2025 Liga Pro regular season, resulted in a score that reflected the home team’s effectiveness.
From the start, Emelec showed their intention to dominate, and in the 3rd minute, J. Cevallos opened the scoring after an excellent assist from M. Solis. Despite El Nacional’s attempts to react, Emelec continued to create danger. In the 41st minute, J. Ayovi extended the lead for the home side, also assisted by M. Solis.
The second half maintained the tone of the first. Although El Nacional had more ball possession (54% compared to Emelec’s 46%), they failed to transform that possession into clear goal-scoring opportunities.
