Emelec Secures Home Victory Over Cuniburo with Strong Performance
Guayaquil – In a match held at the Estadio George Capwell Banco del Austro, Emelec secured a victory against Cuniburo, demonstrating superior gameplay. The match, corresponding to Matchday 19 of the Liga Pro, 2025 Season, saw Emelec dominate possession with 58% compared to Cuniburo’s 42%.
Despite a goalless first half, marked by a yellow card for Emelec’s M. Meli in the 41st minute, the second half brought the awaited action. In the 74th minute, J. Cevallos opened the scoring for Emelec, assisted by C. Cueva. Emelec continued to press, generating a total of 21 shots, 6 of which were on target and 5 went wide.
