Barcelona Sporting Club secured a narrow 1-0 victory over El Nacional in a thrilling encounter at Quito’s Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa, in the second round of the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores. The match, officiated by Cristian Garay from Chile, was marked by intensity and tension, with a total of five yellow cards shown to both teams. El Nacional dominated possession (62%), managing 12 shots (none on target), while Barcelona SC, with 38% possession, proved more clinical. An own goal by C.
