Eintracht Frankfurt defeats RB Leipzig in thrilling Frauen Bundesliga match
Frankfurt am Main, December 9, 2024 – Eintracht Frankfurt secured a convincing 3-0 victory over RB Leipzig in a Frauen Bundesliga clash at the Stadion am Brentanobad. The match, officiated by N. Westerhoff, saw the home side dominate from start to finish.
Eintracht controlled possession (59%) and created significantly more scoring opportunities, registering 14 shots (7 on target). N. Anyomi opened the scoring in the 7th minute with an unassisted goal. T. Pawollek extended the lead in the 63rd minute, assisted by Anyomi. C. Wamser added a late third in the 88th minute, with L. Freigang providing the assist.
Despite the home side’s dominance, RB Leipzig offered some resistance. Both teams received a yellow card each (Pawollek and Schimmer respectively). Leipzig, with 41% possession, managed only 3 shots on goal.
