Eintracht Frankfurt beat FC St. Pauli 3-2 in a thrilling match played at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt am Main on May 11th, 2025. The game, corresponding to matchday 33 of the Bundesliga, was marked by Frankfurt’s superior possession (72%), which was however countered by St. Pauli’s effectiveness in attack.
The match began with an early goal by R. Kristensen for Eintracht (minute 1), but St. Pauli responded with two quick goals, scored by M. Saliakas (minute 4) and M. Guilavogui (minute 16), to go into halftime with the lead. In the second half, M. Batshuayi equalized for Frankfurt (minute 71), and subsequently, Batshuayi scored the winning goal in the 71st minute assisted by F. Chaibi.
Despite the victory, Frankfurt accumulated three yellow cards, while St. Pauli received two. The match, refereed by Christian Dingert, showed the fight and excitement until the final whistle. Frankfurt, with 13 shots (5 on target), demonstrated its offensive dominance, despite not translating it into a greater number of goals. St. Pauli, on the other hand, with only 5 shots (2 on target), showed great effectiveness in front of the rival goal.
