Celtic Crushes Dundee United in Dominant Display
Celtic secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Dundee United at the CalForth Construction Arena at Tannadice Park in Dundee, Scotland on April 26th, 2025. The match, refereed by D. Robertson, was the first round of the second phase of the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic dominated possession (74% to 26%) and created numerous scoring opportunities (20 shots to 7). The rout began early with an own goal by R. Strain in the 30th minute. N. Kuhn then added two goals (38th and 45th minutes), both assisted by D. Maeda, extending the lead. In the second half, A. Idah scored twice (47th and 58th minutes), with assists from A. Johnston and C. McGregor respectively, completing the comprehensive victory. Dundee United’s 7 shots (4 on target) proved insufficient to challenge Celtic’s strong defense.
