Dunajská Streda thrashes Skalica in a vibrant Slovak Super Liga match
Dunajská Streda defeated Skalica by a convincing 3-1 scoreline in a match played at the MOL Aréna in Dunajská Streda. The game, corresponding to matchday 19 of the 2024 Slovak Super Liga season, was marked by the home side’s dominance, controlling 63% of possession and creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities.
Ramadan opened the scoring with a brace in the 8th and 11th minutes, while Brunetti extended the lead to 3-0 before halftime (42′). Despite the comfortable advantage, the home team received three yellow cards, showing some impulsiveness in the closing stages. Skalica, with 37% possession, managed to pull one back through a goal from Sobczyk in the 83rd minute, but it was not enough to mount a comeback. Dunajská Streda’s dominance was reflected in their 18 shots (11 on target), compared to Skalica’s 7 (3 on target). The referee for the match was Erik Gemzicky.
