Deportivo Pereira Thrashes La Equidad in Thrilling Encounter
Pereira, November 15, 2024 – Deportivo Pereira defeated La Equidad with a resounding 4-3 victory in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas. The match, corresponding to matchday 19 of the Colombian Primera A Clausura, was marked by a constant exchange of goals and high intensity.
La Equidad opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a goal from E. Ricardo, assisted by F. Acosta. However, Deportivo Pereira responded quickly, equalizing in the 5th minute with a goal from Y. Quinones, assisted by S. Aguilar. Aguilar extended Pereira’s lead in the 11th minute, assisted by A. Piedrahita, and D. Quintero made it 3-1 in the 15th minute thanks to a pass from J. Rios. La Equidad pulled one back in the 32nd minute with a goal from L. Riascos, assisted by J. Mahecha. In the final stretch of the match, La Equidad scored two more goals: L. Escalante in the 85th minute and J. Rios for Pereira in the 89th minute. Despite La Equidad’s effort, Deportivo Pereira secured the victory.
The match was characterized by Deportivo Pereira’s superior possession (59%), although La Equidad generated more shots (14 vs 10). Pereira had more accuracy in shots on target (4 vs 5), while La Equidad had more shots off target (6 vs 3). The referee was Wilmar Roldán. Yellow cards were shown to J. Vasquez and E.
