Palestino Defeats Deportes Iquique in Thrilling Match
Iquique, Chile – Palestino secured a 3-1 victory over Deportes Iquique in a thrilling match at the Estadio Tierra de Campeones, in the fourth round of the 2025 Chilean Primera División. The game, refereed by Cristian Garay, was fast-paced with numerous goal-scoring opportunities for both sides.
Palestino took the lead in the 9th minute with a goal from J. Benítez, assisted by B. Carrasco. Deportes Iquique equalized in the 16th minute through B. Soto, assisted by D. N. Fernandez C. Before halftime, J. Abrigo put Palestino back in front (31′), again with an assist from Carrasco. In the second half, G. Tapia Paez sealed the victory with a goal in the 79th minute.
