Debreceni VSC thrashed Ferencvarosi TC in a thrilling match at the Nagyerdei Stadion in Debrecen. The game, part of the first round of the Hungarian NB I league, ended in a resounding 6-3 victory for the home side. Debreceni VSC took an early lead with a brace from D. Barany within the first five minutes, adding another goal before halftime. Despite a penalty and a goal from B. Varga for Ferencvarosi TC, the visiting team suffered from the expulsion of G. Varga and another from Saldanha, Debreceni VSC demonstrated superiority in the second half with two more goals from B. Domingues, sealing a convincing victory.
