Czech Republic and Croatia Draw in a Hard-Fought Match in Prague
Prague, October 9, 2025 – The Czech Republic and Croatia played to a draw in a tense and tactical match held at the Fortuna Arena, valid for the European World Cup qualifying group stage. The match, refereed by France’s François Letexier, ended with a score that reflects the parity in the game.
Croatia dominated possession with 57%, seeking to impose their game, but the Czech Republic proved solid in defense and dangerous in quick transitions. Despite Croatian control, both teams struggled to generate clear scoring opportunities. Croatia recorded nine shot attempts, of which only two were directed at the goal, while the Czech Republic attempted eleven shots, also with two on target.
The match was characterized by physical play, with a total of 24 fouls committed between both teams.
