Cusco Defeats Alianza Atlético in Hard-Fought Match
Cusco, Peru – In a vibrant match held at the Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, Cusco secured a valuable victory over Alianza Atlético. The match, corresponding to the sixth round of the Clausura in the Peruvian First Division, was characterized by high ball possession in favor of the home team, reaching 65%.
The only goal of the match came in the 25th minute, when F. Callejo, assisted by O. Valenzuela, converted an offensive play that unleashed joy in the stands. Despite the disadvantage, Alianza Atlético sought the equalizer, generating 12 shots, although only 4 of them found the goal defended by the Cusco goalkeeper. Cusco, on the other hand, tried to extend their lead with 11 shots, 7 of which were directed at the opponent’s goal.
