Thrilling Draw in Andahuaylas: Cultural Santa Rosa and Cusco FC Share the Spoils
Andahuaylas witnessed a vibrant and contested match between Cultural Santa Rosa and Cusco FC, which ended in a 2-2 draw at the Estadio Municipal Los Chankas. The match, corresponding to matchday 13 of the Clausura of the Peruvian First Division, was full of emotions and tense moments.
Cusco FC took the lead early, in the 5th minute, thanks to a goal by J. Tevez after an assist from L. Colitto. Cusco’s initial dominance was reflected in greater ball possession, reaching 54%. However, Cultural Santa Rosa managed to react and equalize the score in the 39th minute through a penalty converted by J. Manzaneda.
The intensity of the match resulted in a high number of cards. The referee, Julio Cesar Quiroz, showed a total of 9 yellow cards (5 for Cultural Santa Rosa and 4 for Cusco) and one red card for P. Da Silva of Cusco in added time.
