Cheltenham mounted a thrilling comeback against Crewe at the Mornflake Stadium, securing a 4-3 victory. Despite Crewe’s greater possession (58%), Cheltenham proved more clinical. G. Miller opened the scoring for Cheltenham in the 22nd minute (assisted by A. Jude-Boyd). Crewe responded with a penalty from K. Hemmings in the 45th minute, after R. Haynes missed a penalty for Cheltenham in the 33rd minute. The second half was a back-and-forth affair, with Cheltenham adding three more goals: J. Thomas in the 78th minute and L. Dulson in the 86th minute (assisted by A. Jude-Boyd and V. Adedokun respectively). Crewe scored a late consolation goal through C. Agius in the 90th minute but it was not enough to prevent defeat. The match was a feisty encounter, with 28 fouls in total and one yellow card for each side.
