Crawley Town Crushes Northampton in Dominant Display
Crawley Town convincingly defeated Northampton Town 3-0 in a League One match at the Broadfield Stadium in Crawley, West Sussex on April 26th, 2025. Crawley’s dominance was evident throughout, reflected in their 63% possession and 16 shots, 4 of which were on target.
R. Hepburn-Murphy opened the scoring in the 39th minute, assisted by P. Camara. The second half saw Crawley extend their lead with goals from J. Kelly (66th minute, assisted by G. Holohan) and K. Doyle (88th minute, assisted by L. Fraser). A yellow card to L. Fraser in the 90th minute was the only blemish on an otherwise dominant performance. Northampton, despite having four shots on target, were unable to break down the Crawley defense. The match was officiated by J. Miles. The disparity in fouls committed (9 by Crawley, 17 by Northampton) further highlighted Crawley’s control of the game.
