Cracovia Krakow edged out Korona Kielce with a narrow 2-1 victory in a match played at the Stadion Cracovii im. Józefa Piłsudskiego in Krakow. The encounter, corresponding to matchday 21 of the Polish Ekstraklasa, was marked by tension and numerous cards. An own goal by V. Ghita in the 32nd minute gave Cracovia the initial advantage. However, Korona played a large part of the game with one man down after a red card in the 48th minute, in addition to accumulating several yellow cards. Despite the numerical disadvantage and lower ball possession (41%), Korona managed three shots on goal. Cracovia, with 59% possession, launched 14 shots, three of them on target, and scored their second goal thanks to P. Sokolowski in the 90th minute.
