Cardiff and Coventry played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at The Coventry Building Society Arena in a captivating Championship clash. Coventry dominated possession (63%), managing 11 shots (6 on target) and earning 5 corners. However, Cardiff proved more clinical despite having less possession (37%).
Meite put Cardiff ahead in the 4th minute, assisted by Robertson. Mason-Clark equalized for Coventry in the 7th minute, assisted by Sakamoto. Robertson scored again for Cardiff in the 48th minute, assisted by Colwill, but Torp levelled with a penalty in the 88th minute.
The match was a tense affair, with five yellow cards shown to Cardiff players (O’Dowda, Turnbull, Chambers, Robertson, Alnwick) and one to Coventry (Sakamoto).
