Córdoba and Elche played an exciting match at the Estadio Nuevo Arcángel, corresponding to matchday 33 of the Segunda División. The game, played on March 30, 2025 in Córdoba, ended in a close 2-2 draw. Elche dominated possession (56%) and, although they had fewer shots (8 to Córdoba’s 17), they showed greater effectiveness. Omar Plano put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute, thanks to a pass from Castro. Córdoba responded quickly, with a goal from Carlos Albarrán in the 28th minute, assisted by Carracedo. The first half was intense, with numerous yellow cards for Córdoba (Córdoba: Zidane, Ania, Obolskiy, Alves and Yoldi). In the second half, Elche suffered a yellow card to Sarabia but maintained control. Rashani scored 2-1 for Elche in the 89th minute, assisted by Josan. However, Córdoba equalized the score before the final whistle. Despite the numerous fouls committed by Córdoba (26), the match was defined by similar offensive effectiveness from both teams, resulting in a fair draw.
