Colo Colo Mounts Comeback Victory at Home After Tough Start Against D. La Serena
Santiago de Chile – In a vibrant match held at the Estadio Monumental David Arellano, Colo Colo secured an important victory over D. La Serena, albeit after experiencing tense moments. The match, valid for matchday 16 of the Chilean Primera División, witnessed Colo Colo’s dominance in ball possession (61%), but with D. La Serena knowing how to capitalize on their opportunities.
The first half passed without goals, but with a yellow card for S. Gallegos from D. La Serena in the 32nd minute. The second half started with a substitution in D. La Serena and, shortly after, a yellow card for E. Amor from Colo Colo in the 49th minute. The surprise came in the 55th minute when A. Henriquez, unassisted, gave D. La Serena the lead, momentarily silencing the stadium.
However, Colo Colo reacted strongly. In the 69th minute, V. Pizarro, assisted by L. Cepeda, equalized the score. With the momentum on their side, the home team maintained the pressure, and again V.
