Tigres Overpowers Querétaro at La Corregidora
Tigres UANL triumphed over Club Querétaro in a dominant performance at the Estadio Corregidora in Santiago de Querétaro. The match, part of week 11 of the 2025 Liga MX Apertura season, was marked by Tigres’ control of the ball, holding 71% of the possession.
The first goal of the match came in the 30th minute, scored by J. Brunetta for Tigres, with a play orchestrated from midfield. The situation worsened for Querétaro in the 42nd minute with the expulsion of M. Coronel, leaving them with a numerical disadvantage.
In the second half, M. Flores extended Tigres’ lead in the 53rd minute, solidifying their superiority on the field. Despite their efforts, Querétaro only managed one shot on target out of the ten they attempted. Tigres, on the other hand, accumulated 18 shots, 6 of which tested the opposing goalkeeper.
Querétaro had a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit in the final minutes of the match, when in the 90th minute they had a penalty; however, P. Barrera failed to convert the shot into a goal. The match ended with a clear dominance of Tigres, both in the score and in the development of the game. The referee of the match was Guillermo Pacheco Larios.
