Monterrey Defeats Querétaro in a Foul-Filled Match
Santiago de Querétaro, September 14, 2025 – Monterrey secured a victory at the Estadio Corregidora against Club Querétaro in a match corresponding to Matchday 8 of the Liga MX Apertura. The only goal of the game, scored by G. Berterame in the 25th minute, was enough to secure the three points for the visitors.
Monterrey dominated the match in possession, accumulating 62% compared to Querétaro’s 38%. This superiority translated into a greater number of shots, with 15 attempts (6 on target) by Monterrey, compared to Querétaro’s meager 3 (1 on target). The team from Monterrey also surpassed their rival in corner kicks, with 4 compared to 2.
