Club Brugge Crushes Marseille at Jan Breydel
Brugge, Belgium – In a match held at the Jan Breydel Stadion, Club Brugge KV demonstrated their prowess by convincingly defeating Marseille. The encounter, valid for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, concluded with a clear superiority of the home team.
Club Brugge came out strong from the start, opening the scoring early with a goal by M. Diakhon in the 4th minute, assisted by an inspired A. Stankovic. Just seven minutes later, R. Vermant extended the lead, also with an assist from Stankovic, leaving Marseille reeling.

In the second half, Club Brugge continued to dominate, sealing the victory with a goal by A. Stankovic in the 79th minute, assisted by C. Forbs. A. Gouiri also received a yellow card for Marseille in the 80th minute.
Despite Marseille’s 17 shots (9 on target), Club Brugge’s defense remained firm, only allowing 3 goals against and securing a well-deserved victory. Club Brugge, with 38% possession and 11 shots (5 on target), were much more efficient in their finishing.
