Juarez Stuns America in a Card-Laden Match
Mexico City – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, FC Juarez surprised Club America with a victory in a game marked by numerous yellow cards and overwhelming possession in favor of the home side.
The match began with an aggressive Juarez side taking the lead in the 5th minute with a goal by J. M. Torres Ramirez I, assisted by Puma. However, America dominated ball possession with 67% throughout the match. Despite their dominance, the visitors struggled to penetrate the border defense.
America finally found the equalizer in the 69th minute with a goal from A. Zendejas, assisted by Raphael Veiga, igniting the hopes of the local fans. The match remained tense, with constant fouls and cautions for both teams. A total of six yellow cards were shown to Club America and four to FC Juarez.
Just when it seemed that a draw would be the final result, Guilherme Castilho scored a crucial goal for Juarez in the 90th minute, sealing the victory for his team.
Despite Club America’s high ball possession and 14 shots, only 5 were on target. FC Juarez, with less possession and 11 shots, demonstrated effectiveness by converting two key goals to take all three points.
