Millonarios Thrashes Chico in Villavicencio
Millonarios achieved a resounding 5-1 victory against Chico in an exciting match played at the Estadio Bello Horizonte – Rey Pelé in Villavicencio on November 15th, 2024. The game, part of the 19th round of the Colombian Primera A Clausura, was officiated by Edwin Ferney Trujillo Castro. The match was characterized by Millonarios’ offensive prowess and the sending-off of one of their players.
Millonarios’ goals came early. Palacios opened the scoring in the 10th minute, assisted by Pereira. Giordana (16′) and Silva (18′) quickly extended the lead. Before halftime, Palacios scored his second goal (42′), assisted by Silva, who had a great performance. In the second half, despite the expulsion of Sarabia (39′), Falcao sealed the victory with a goal in the 90th minute.
Chico managed to pull one back in the 84th minute with a penalty converted by Plazas. Despite dominating possession (58%), Chico couldn’t overcome Millonarios’ solid defense. Millonarios, with less possession (42%), proved more effective in attack.
