Junior Triumphs Over Chico in Thrilling Tunja Match
Junior de Barranquilla secured a victory against Chico in a hard-fought encounter at the Estadio de La Independencia in Tunja, corresponding to matchday five of the 2025 Apertura Primera A. The match, refereed by Jairo Londono, ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of Junior.
Y. Chara opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal assisted by C. Bacca. B. Castrillón secured the victory for Junior with a goal in the 51st minute. Despite Chico’s possession dominance (60%), the home team couldn’t convert their chances, while Junior proved more clinical in front of goal. The match was marked by a red card to D. Moreno of Junior in the 62nd minute, making the second half more challenging for the Barranquilla side. Several yellow cards were shown: one to J. Cuenu and another to S.
