Penafiel Secures Victory in Tense Match Against Chaves
Chaves, Portugal – In a tense match marked by numerous cautions, Penafiel managed to overcome Chaves at the Estadio Municipal de Chaves. The match, corresponding to Matchday 21 of the Portuguese Segunda Liga, was officiated by referee Jose Carlos Rodrigues.
The first half passed without goals, but with a yellow card for A. Santos of Penafiel in the 37th minute. The second half was more eventful. In the 49th minute, R. Alves of Penafiel also saw a yellow card. The key moment came in the 54th minute when S. Anzai of Penafiel scored the only goal of the match, without an apparent assist.
From then on, the match was characterized by a series of yellow cards, four for Chaves (Bruno Rodrigues, D. Kusso, A. Rodrigues and T. Simoes) and one more for Penafiel (B. Pereira and J. Femenias near the end of the match). Despite Chaves’ efforts to equalize, Penafiel managed to maintain the lead until the final whistle.
