CF Montreal Overwhelms Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium
Charlotte, USA – In a match held at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, CF Montreal triumphed with a resounding score of 4 to 1 over the home team. In the second half, CF Montreal consolidated its dominance with goals from F. Herbers in the 53rd minute, another goal from D. Sealy in the 86th minute, and finally, a goal from P. Owusu in stoppage time, in the 90th minute. Charlotte showed frustration, accumulating several yellow cards during the match. Referee Ricardo Montero, from Costa Rica, had a busy night sanctioning numerous fouls (17 for Montreal and 9 for Charlotte) and issuing four yellow cards to the home team and one to the visitor.
CF Montreal proved to be a more effective team in attack, with 8 shots on target compared to only one from Charlotte, and was able to capitalize on the numerical advantage to take home an important victory in the league.
