Cerro Porteño defeats Melgar in a thrilling encounter in Asunción
Estadio La Nueva Olla witnessed an exciting match between Cerro Porteño and FBC Melgar in the 3rd round of the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores. The Paraguayan team secured a 5-2 victory despite a closely contested match.
Despite significantly lower possession (38%), Cerro Porteño demonstrated greater offensive efficiency. Sergio Araujo opened the scoring in the 12th minute, assisted by Gabriel Aguayo.
