Cerezo Osaka Edges Out Urawa in Thrilling Osaka Encounter
Cerezo Osaka secured a 1-0 victory over Urawa Reds in a captivating match at the Yodoko Sakura Stadium in Osaka on Thursday, March 28th. The win marked Cerezo’s success in the seventh round of the 2025 J1 League. Rafael Ratao’s early goal, assisted by Thiago Andrade in the second minute, proved to be the difference. Despite Urawa holding a slight possession advantage (52% to Cerezo’s 48%), Cerezo demonstrated greater efficiency in front of goal. Both teams struggled to convert chances; each team had 3 shots on target, from a total of 11 for Cerezo and 14 for Urawa.
