Boca Juniors Dominates Central Córdoba in Santiago del Estero
Boca Juniors secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Central Córdoba de Santiago at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero. The match, part of the 2025 Argentine Professional League’s round 9, saw Boca control possession (58%) and create numerous scoring opportunities. The referee for the game was Yael Falcon Perez.
Goals came early and often for Boca. Miguel Giménez opened the scoring at the 16th minute. An own goal by J.I. Florentín Bobadilla at the 36th minute doubled the lead. Miguel Merentiel added a late goal in the 89th minute, assisted by Luis Advíncula, to seal the victory.
Central Córdoba, with 42% possession, struggled against Boca’s dominance. The sending off of José Galván in the 45th minute further hampered their efforts. They also accumulated several yellow cards and committed 16 fouls. Boca received only one yellow card. Despite Central Córdoba’s efforts, Boca’s superiority was evident in the final score.
